Sana Desai and Sara Rubin
Calabasas Literary Magazine and CHS NEHS Chapter Founders
Sana and Sara started the Calabasas Literary Magazine as an initiative of the National English Honor Society during their senior year of high school. As the founders of Calabasas High School's chapter of the NEHS, they both love English and appreciate great storytelling. Sana aspires to be a cardiovascular surgeon, taking her love for anatomy and public service to the next level at UC Berkeley. She also hopes to be an author of some sorts, or perhaps a poet since she enjoys the brevity and subsequent potency of poetry. Sara has a passion for literature and how it connects our world through words that convey our emotions and life experience. When not reading the latest mystery, Sara can be found studying at UC Santa Barbara, competing in Latin and ballroom dance, or working with children. Thank you to both Sana and Sara for inspiring generations of Calabasas writers through NEHS and the literary magazine.
